After a two year hiatus from his last series (MÄR) Anzai, creator of Flame of Recca, has a new title publishing in Shonen Sunday. It's still fresh and young, only 30ish chapters old, but guess who's back, back again~

WHY DID YOU START THIS OFFSCREEN MEME RIGHT AFTER I DID A RELATIONSHIP MEME (TOPH)? Also, comment here to see where our characters are crossing paths, and where they're meeting up offscreen. Let's see if we can figure something out.

Tim kkkkkh, uh, he usually spends time in his darkroom in the labs when he's being mostly Timmish. He makes trips to the Batcave/YJ HQ regularly and patrols......ish. PROBABLY HE HAS SOME STALKEES BUT I need to get him out more. He technically would make time to talk to his teammates and friends pretty regularly :| agh Tim. I dunno, he's more withdrawn than he was during CFUD: Year Two.

Shinonome still needs to move out of the crypt cabin (I keep forgetting). He spends most of the day out of the cabin looking for interesting stuff to do or tinkering around with his collection in Sophie's old hut in the woods. He wanders into the library a while after dinner almost every day. He never checks out any books because they'd get lost in his collection of junk if he did, so he reads in the library. Some of the time reading includes taking notes so he can bring a copy with him to browse. He doesn't cook regular meals like he did in Edo, though he does still cook quite a bit. It's just not on a regular schedule.

Ryoga doesn't frequent anywhere but can probably be seen pitching his tent in weird places because he has no idea where he is.

Joker lives in Boys 15 o/ (Also guys, I'm totally designing the cabin for my drafting class it's pretty pimp). Spends most of his day out getting into trouble.

Xellos lurks in the sky. Likes to keep an eye on the goings on of interesting people and if there's trouble brewing he's probably nearby to enjoy the atmosphere.

Link Currently suffering in the Pimp Cabin. Stalks Allen. Okay he's not actually with Allen every second of the day the whole week. But it's pretty close. He'll make time on Sunday mornings to visit the chapel and the rest of the day is put aside for recreation/relaxation. Allen may or may not be dragged along..??? Sundays are when he's most likely to bake. The rest of the week he just shadows Allen without putting too much input on his activities. I assume there's training time happening during the week, which Link would eventually participate in.

Oh, uh, randomly, I'm going through a period of testing with Joker's voice.

I want to try to emphasize his Kansai-ben a little more because not only was it something I worried about when I first apped him, it's also a superficial thing I can do to help myself differentiate between the voices of my characters.

It'll probably be kind of retarded and inconsistent until I settle into a way of expressing the accent that I like.



Also, I'd like some advice! I finally found some (super low quality) Japanese scans, so if anyone wants to just take a look at few of the pages and tell me any observations you have I'd really appreciate it! You don't have to translate them or anything (some of the kanji you can't even make out), I'm just curious about things like whether he's still using mostly formal/polite sentence structures or if he seems foul mouthed or whatever. Anything that can help me pinpoint a voice! (Semi-spoilers if you plan to read Flame of Recca...)

ETA: middle casual speech with a comparatively light accent (but apparently worth commenting on by other charas in the series). Anime sources have him pronouncing the 'san' honorific as 'han' which I'm gonna keep.

I wrote a fic at Pie back when we were pretending to be stealthy 'n I just felt like posting it somewhere cuz damned if I can ever remember that post I commented to with this without lots of digging. Takes place between them leaving for SODOM and them arriving.
